One day, the K family — Mother K, Tony, and Father K — went out to go shopping in the downtown of the city. It seemed like just another day to Father K. He never suspected the trouble that was to ensue.
The day’s shopping went along fine till Mother K asked Father K if he remembered seeing a credit card on the dining room table of the K family home. Father K remembered staring at the table for another reason but had no recollection of seeing a credit card.
Returning home, Father K thought the credit card would be on the table and so thought no more of it.
But the credit card was not on the table.
Mother K became annoyed. Round and round and round the apartment she looked. She looked under the dining room table. She looked in the kitchen. She looked in the bedroom. She looked in Tony’s clothes. She looked in the bathroom. But the card was not to be found.
Father K tried to help her. He looked round and round and round the apartment. He looked under the dining room table. He looked in the kitchen. He looked in the bedroom. He looked in Tony’s clothes. He looked in the bathroom. But the card was not to be found.
Mother K could not be consoled. Father K told her the card was nothing to worry about.
“Keep quiet!” responded Mother K. “Unless, you can say something that will help!” Father K suddenly didn’t feel so nice. He wanted to yell back.
But then he saw the water machine.
He recalled that earlier in the day, he had seen Tony try to put something into the side grill of the water machine.
“Perhaps, it is in there!” exclaimed Father K,
He pulled something out of the machine.
It was the missing credit card.
Mother K was overjoyed. But she called Tony a “sneaky bugger.”
Usually, only Father K called Tony a “sneaky bugger.”
